Beneficiary activities

Project « Creative Economy Incubator » in Tanzania

The project is promoting the SanaaBiz application and portal as platforms that commercialize sustainable products and services to influence sustainable lifestyles in production and consumption among visual art artists and potential customers by the end of March 2020.

Project « Dérives de bord de mer » in Morocco

« Dérives de bord de mer » is born from the desire to produce a participatory piece in the public space in order to build new forms of sharing of the sensitive and collective speech.
The project carried out on Pepsi beach in Casablanca (where users are invited to participate in research and production workshops questioning the memory of the place) These workshops will give shape to the realization of a performance shown on the shoreline to the public of the beach.

Project « MUSO KAN » at Mali

The project “MUSO KAN”, a word for women in Bambara (Mali dialect), was born from the observation that women, who have a strong presence in our daily lives, are very often absent from artistic life. MUSO KAN wants to give back space to these women, to these mothers who give us life, and who look after us by joining them in their daily lives, in their world. Through an exhibition of 40 photo portraits and poems, they present and revive their memories, their dreams, their doubts, their hopes to the women of the Tontines of Kalaban Coro district in Bamako.

Project « PLATEAU » at Nigeria

«Plateau» is a new video art project that seeks to explore the historical context and contemporary relevance of tin mining in Jos Plateau State, Nigeria, through the socio-economic conditions of the city and its inhabitants.

The project SEE Djerba realized by Collectif Creatifs in Tunisial

SEE Djerba is a community based light art project that is rooted in the Tunisian southern island of Djerba. The project aims, through a workshops-and-exhibiton program , to create a nucleus of local volunteers and cultural activists in the fields of art curatorship and contemporary art management.

The Project « The Book Of Life » in Rwanda

The Book of Life” is a project on the commemoration of the 1994 genocide. Expanding into realms of publishing, video, radio and theatre, the project has at its core a collection of letters written to the dead. The act of writing a letter in the wake of death, trauma or tragedy turns isolated grief into collaborative life.

The project « One day these names will be ours » in Ethiopia

The project “One day these names will be ours” aims to re-imagine the history of the Horn of Africa. The artist mixes vibrating and complex texture clothes with contemporary and everyday materials. Playing with the notions of the veil, as well as with shape and form, he creates images that are stranger and less affected by the physical resemblance, but which are still instantly recognizable by the viewers as a human being.

The Project “Car, vois-tu, tu as le droit d’être obscur” in Mauritusa

In the wake of the philosopher Édouard Glissant, Nirveda Alleck draws on the Creole culture from which she came to develop a work where the question of identity is central. Through painting, photography, video, installation and performance, the artist questions the feeling of belonging: what does it mean to be a member of a group? From a culture? From a territory? Of a particular space?
