CALL FOR PROPOSALS # 1 ACF – VISUAL ARTS

The African Culture Fund (ACF) is a pan-African fund that aims to support the sectors of arts education and cultural and creative industries on the African Continent.

The Fund seeks to professionalize of the creative sector, promote cultural entrepreneurs, artists, culture professionals and socio-economic and cultural organizations producing cultural goods and culture service providers.

For this first call, the Fund supports activities and projects in the Visual Arts field.

This call therefore concerns activities and projects for the creation, production and dissemination of works of visual arts. This call concerns traditional visual arts, photography, video art, digital art, decorative arts (textile art, design, marquetry …), etc.

This call covers all countries of the African continent.

For any request made in relation with this call, the maximum budget is US $ 10,000. Projects must be completed over a period not exceeding 18 months.

Applications must be submitted in English or French.

  1. This call is exciting for me because we have initiated a cultural project near mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to preserve traditional housing and facilities which are no longer used. We are interested in applying for the call to enable us to collect and preserve these traditional art and cultural items in one place for our future generation locally and internationally.

    my name is david hlongwana artist based in the township of khayelistha western cape south africa which got more than 2 million people would like to run art classes which where not in the introduce to th young black child i did some classes long time ago now i could see a lack funding where we can start early artclasses with the young people as i am getting very old i want to do it can that funding be suitable for the visual arts like drawings , sculptures , painting and print making working with the group of artist to share the same goals of early child education
